Waterloo Regional Police say three pedestrians were crossing Fairway road in Kitchener last night when they were hit by a car.

A 19-year-old, a 20-year-old and an 80-year -old were crossing the street near Courtland avenue road before 8:00 pm when they were hit.

According to police, the driver of the car was trying to make a left turn.

The eighty-year-old woman was taken to hospital with a broken pelvis; the other two pedestrians had minor injuries.

The driver of the car, a 59-year-old woman has been charged with making an unsafe turn.
