A theft from the Wingham liquor store leads to three women from Waterloo Region facing numerous charges.

On Saturday, the Hanover police were informed about a theft from the LCBO in Wingham.  It was reported that the suspects were three females who left the scene in a silver Toyota Camry.

Later on Saturday, police stopped a car matching the report’s description.  The vehicle had made a number of stops in Hanover.  Three women were taken into custody.

When the car was searched, Hanover police say 48 bottles of various brands of alcohol were discovered along with other items suspected of being stolen from department or grocery stores.  The total value of the goods was in excess of $3,000.

Police say the stolen goods came from numerous locations across Midwestern Ontario.

Hanover police charged three women from the Kitchener-Waterloo area with various offences including theft and possession of stolen property.
