Fire ripped through a butcher shop on Holland Mills Road on Saturday night in New Hamburg.

Three fire stations from Wilmot battled the blaze for over 5 hours at Cloverleaf Farms.

Flames broke out before 6 p.m. in the electrical room of the meat processing plant, according to fire officials.

“We're not deeming it suspicious right now but we do have the fire prevention officer on his way to investigate once we get the fire out,” said Russell Strickler, District Chief at Wilmot Fire.

There is no word on the extent of the damage yet but fire officials say the dollar loss is significant.

No one was injured however everything inside, including their equipment they use, is gone.

Cloverleaf Farms released a statement on Twitter stating they will remain open for business.

“Stock up on your pepperettes and smoked chops today if you can freeze them,” the tweet read in part.

The family owned business says it will take a little time to replace some of the items.
