A number of iPads were stolen from an east Kitchener elementary school over the weekend.

It’s not clear exactly when the break-in occurred, but it was noticed Monday morning when work crews arrived at Mackenzie King Public School on Natchez Road.

It is believed the robber or robbers broke into the school through a window.

Construction work is ongoing at Mackenzie King as the school works on an expansion.

According to the site foreman, the weekend break-in marks the second such event at the school this summer.
