Two teen boys have been sentenced to 18 month’s probation for a massive vandalism spree at Elmira’s Recreation Complex on New Year's Eve.

Damage to the building was so extensive that the Woolwich Memorial Centre was closed for three days while repairs were made.

The boys, who were 13-years-old at the time, admitted that they smashed glass and emptied fire extinguishers.

Damage to the building totalled more than $100,000.

In addition to probation, the teenagers were both put on night curfew and ordered to perform 80 hours of community service.
