ST. THOMAS, Ont. -- Police say a 17-year-old youth has been charged with attempted murder after a boy was attacked south of London.
Officers were called to a St. Thomas home around 10:55 p.m. Saturday where police say they found the nine-year-old boy bleeding from a large cut across his neck.
Police say the boy was rushed to a nearby hospital before being taken to a London hospital, where he underwent surgery and is in stable condition.
Investigators say the accused and the boy knew each other.
The teenager has been remanded into custody pending a court appearance Tuesday.
He cannot be named under Canada's youth justice law.
