Roads in Woodstock’s southeast were closed for much of the day Tuesday after a tanker truck crashed into a hydro pole.
Woodstock Police report that the crash occurred at approximately 1:20 p.m., on Springbank Avenue at the Juliana Drive curve.
Police say the tanker was attempting to turn right onto Juliana when it hit the hydro pole, causing significant damage to the pole.
Hydro crews were called in to undertake repair work.
As of mid-afternoon, police expected Longworth to remain closed as Juliana, and Keyes Drive to remain closed at Springbank, into the night.
Information on any potential charges and the cause of the crash was not immediately available.
