The Elmira Sugar Kings are within one win of a trip to the Sutherland Cup final after a 4-3 win over the Caledonia Pro-Fit Corvairs on Wednesday night.
Klayton Hoelscher led the way for the Sugar Kings with a hat-trick and an assist. Jonathan Reinhart made 44 saves to pick up the win and give Elmira a 3-1 series lead.
With a win on Friday night, Elmira can advance to their first Sutherland Cup final since 2011.
In the other series, the London Nationals shut out the Listowel Cyclones 2-0 to take a 3-1 series lead.
Cameron Zanussi made 18 saves to pick up his fourth shutout of the playoffs.
London will look to close out the series in Listowel on Friday night.
