Nine people were taken to hospital Sunday afternoon after a tent collapsed near the community of Hopeville, east of Mount Forest.
According to Grey County OPP, approximately 100 people were in the tent for a private social event along Southgate Road 14.
As a storm system moved through the area – a precursor to the system that, 40 kilometres away and five hours later, deposited a tornado on Teviotdale – the tent collapsed.
All nine people were treated for minor injuries, police say.
