The Guelph Storm are ranked 8th in this week’s CHL pre-season rankings as the team looks to defend their OHL Championship.

The Storm wrapped up the pre-season on a four-game winning streak; they beat the Barrie Colt’s 2-0 on Sunday afternoon in Cambridge.

The low scoring affair featured flashes of mid-season form.  In the third period, Adam Kravietch laid a saucer pass onto the tape of Stephen Pierog.  His mark ended up being the game winner.

Storm goalies Bradley Van Schubert and Justin Nichols combined for the shutout.

Guelph finishes 4-0-1 in the pre-season.  They open up the regular season against the Belleville Bulls on September 26th.
