The K-W Titans fought their way to a 126-116 overtime victory over the visiting London Lightning to gain a split of their NBL Canada weekend home-and-home series.

The Lightning started quickly, building an early 11-point lead before the Titans rebounded by taking a two-point lead into the halftime break.

Alternating leads was the story of the third quarter, which saw both teams taking turns with the lead, with neither team able to pull away. Trailing in the final minute of regulation, a clutch 3-pointer by the Titans’ Jamell Harris tied the game, sending it to overtime.

The extra five-minute period overtime was all Titans as they outscored the Lightning 20-10 in the extra frame. In the OT, K-W outscored the Lightning 13-0 from the foul line.

The well-balanced Titans had seven players in double figures, led by Orlando Coleman, Ricky Tarrant and A.J. Davis with 19 points each.

For the Lightning, former NBA (Sacramento Kings) player Royce White recorded his second triple-double in as many nights with a game-high 30 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

The Titans have little time to celebrate their victory as the host the Windsor Express on Tuesday (January 10th) at the Aud. Tip off time is 7:00 pm.
