The OUA Basketball version of the ‘Battle of Waterloo’ saw an upset.  Even with the fantastic individual offensive efforts in the past week, the Wilfrid Laurier men's basketball team is still having trouble recording wins.  The Hawks continued their slow start to 2013 with Wednesday’s 67-60 loss to the Waterloo Warriors.

Waterloo held Laurier to just 23 points through the opening 20 minutes.  Going into the second half, the Warriors were on top 33-23.   Waterloo (2-10) was led by Mike Helsby who had a game-high 17 points.  Kyrie Coleman of Washington, D.C., had 14 points and 16 rebounds.

Laurier (3-9) had a strong offensive effort from Jamar Forde, who scored 16 points.  The last two CIS Athletes of the Week, Maxwell Allin and William Coulthard both struggled on the night, combining for just 15 points.
