As the expansion K-W Titans are finding out, the London Lightning are tough to beat.

The Lighting are the gold standard of the NBL Canada and proved it again Thursday night with a 101-91 victory over the visiting Titans.

The Titans, who trailed by 13 points at the half, got 18 points from newcomer Flenard Whitfield.

Royce White paced London with 16 points.

With the win, the first-place Lightning improve to 21-and-4 this season. They have won 4-of-5 meetings with K-W and have never lost to the expansion team at Budweiser Gardens.

The Titans will take their 11-14 record into Orangeville tonight. Tip-off time against the A’s is 7:00 pm.

K-W’s next home game is Sunday afternoon (2:00 pm), when London visits the Auditorium.
