The Ayr Centennials left no doubt.

The two-time defending Junior ‘C’ Doherty champs won their third straight league title on Tuesday, crushing the Paris Mounties 10-1 at the Brant Sports Centre.

The victory gave the Centennials a four-game sweep in the title series – and a perfect 12-and-0 record in the post-season.

Ayr broke the game open with six goals in the second period to put the game and series away.

“Winning this for the third time in a row, three-peat, is hard to do,” said Quinn Diamond, who paced the winners with three goals and one assist. “But the boys came out hot tonight and we pulled through.”

Rob Grant and Cole Cummings each had one goal and two assists for Ayr, while Riley Clipper chipped in with three assists.

The Centennials now advance to the OHA Junior ‘C’ playdowns, where they will try to defend their Schmalz Cup provincial title.
