A police investigation that began with complaints from residents has ended with seven people facing charges.

Guelph Police say they began investigation a crystal meth trafficking operation in August, following community concerns about an alleged drug house in the city.

Wednesday evening, police executed search warrants at two homes – one in the area of Willow and Dawson roads in Guelph; the other in the Water Street area of Cambridge.

Between the two homes, police say they found more than 40 grams of crystal meth, as well as other drugs, digital scales, cash and other items indicative of a trafficking operation.

Seven people face a variety of charges, the majority of which relate to drug offences.
