Two overnight drug overdoses in Cambridge have led police to issue a public warning and brought officers to a home where the drugs in question were allegedly purchased.

Neither overdose was fatal.

While it won’t be certain exactly which drugs caused the overdoses until toxicology reports come back, police said Wednesday that the narcotics responsible for both overdoses had been purchased at the home at 29 Crombie Street, in the south end of Cambridge.

Neighbours said that police officers were seen going into and out of that home Wednesday afternoon.

The overdoses are not the only ones reported in Cambridge in recent days. Staff at The Bridges shelter say five people using their facility have overdosed in the past two weeks.

Police said that people should avoid buying or using illegal drugs “no matter where they are from.”
