Waterloo Region police have arrested a second man in connection with an armed robbery at the Peoples Jewellers in the Fairview Park Mall last December.

Mohammad Saeid Kermani, 19, of Richmond Hill, Ont. has been charged with robbery using a firearm, robbery, wearing a disguise with intent to commit an offence, pointing a firearm, weapons dangerous and mischief under $5,000.

Waterloo Region police worked together with York Region police to facilitate the arrest.

The robbery occurred on Dec. 1, 2010, when three masked and armed suspects entered the store. They stole a quantity of jewelry and fled on foot.

In March, another Richmond Hill man, 20-year-old Nima Malek was arrested and faces similar charges. He returns to court on Wednesday.

Meanwhile police continue to search for a third suspect.

Waterloo Regional Police Insp. Greg Lamport says "We still have a third person that we're looking to find and lay charges against. We're asking that anyone with information regarding the robbery or the persons involved would contact our Central Division detectives."
