James Livingston's tie-breaking goal with 3:04 remaining in the third period lifted the Plymouth's Whalers to a 4-2 win over the Kitchener Rangers in Game #7 of their Ontario Hockey League quarter-final series.

The Whalers held on to win the Western Conference best-of-seven, after letting a 3-1 series lead slip away.

Michael Whaley, Robbie Czarnik and Tyler Brown, into an empty net, also scored for Plymouth, while Whalers' goalie Scott Wedgewood was sharp with 37 saves.

Top NHL prospects Gabriel Landeskog and Jerry D'Amigo both scored their sixth goal of the series for the Rangers.

The Whalers will now take on the Owen Sound Attack in the Western Conference semi-finals.
