Police continued their search Monday for a missing Kitchener woman and the absent sofa that may provide a clue to her whereabouts.

Catherine Todd was reported missing last week from her Lorraine Avenue apartment. She was last seen March 18.

Police say they believe the 48-year-old woman is a victim of foul play.

Forensic officers were part of a heavy police presence in the Stanley Park neighbourhood Monday. Officers were seen rooting through garbage dumpsters in the nearby area, looking for any information that point lead them to Todd or the cream-coloured loveseat that also went missing from her apartment.

“The focus remains on finding Catherine Todd and identifying her last known whereabouts and who she was with at the time,” Insp. Kevin Thaler tells CTV.

Also of interest to police is a pickup truck that was seen leaving Todd’s building last Tuesday or Wednesday morning.

Police have not released any information about the truck’s make, model or colour.
