A Guelph man is facing charges following an alleged bout of road rage in that city.

Police say it happened late Monday morning, and began as an argument between people in two vehicles travelling down Paisley Road.

Both vehicles continued driving on the Hanlon Expressway, then exited onto Willow Road.

At that point, police say, somebody in one of the vehicles threw something at the other car.

That led to both vehicles pulling over and another argument commencing, which allegedly included one man opening a door of the other car and brandishing a pair of scissors.

The driver of the other car left the area and contacted police, who tracked down the other person involved in the dispute.

An 18-year-old man is charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of probation.
