The name has changed, but the spirit of fundraising and friendly competition continued Sunday for the event formerly known as the Oktoberfest Run.
Now called the Fall 5-km Classic, the run featured hundreds of runners lacing up their shoes Friday morning and running from Resurrection Catholic Secondary School to Waterloo Park.
Top finishers were eligible for cash prizes of up to $300.
The event was also a fundraiser for Cambridge Memorial Hospital, with a $15,000 goal.
More than 650 people had registered to run in the race.
