The human remains found near a popular walking trail last weekend have been identified as belonging to an adult male from Kitchener.
At the request of his family, police say no further details about the man’s identity are being released.
A man walking his dog discovered the remains last Saturday, and they were taken to Hamilton for a post mortem examination.
Police say there is no reason to suspect foul play and there is no concern for public safety. The investigation into the incident has been closed.
