After hours of working in the dark, Kitchener Wilmot Hydro has restored power to CTV Kitchener and surrounding homes.
Crews tell CTV News that a transformer that provides power to the station was blown after a squirrel came in contact with the transformer.
As a result of the power outage, CTV Kitchener will have a half hour 6pm show instead of the full hour. With a re-broadcast of Provincewide starting at 6:30.
