Police say a 20-year-old woman was walking on Langs Drive in in Preston on Sept. 9, at around 11:30 p.m., when she was grabbed from behind and pulled to the ground.

She screamed and fought back, drawing the attention of a neighbour who tried to help her.

The suspect ran off and was last seen making his way down Langs Drive towards Livingston Crescent.

The victim was taken to hospital and treated for minor facial injuries.

Police say they are unsure whether this was a targeted incident.

The suspect is described as a white man, possibly with darker skin. He is partially bald or has a shaved head. He is between 32 and 36 years old, 5’5” to 5’10” tall, with a muscular, stocky build. He was seen wearing shorts and a blue sleeveless shirt.
