Police say shortly after 1 am, they were called to the area of University Avenue west and Philip street for a disturbance. When they arrived they found a 21- year-old man with a stab wound.
Police say the assailant was located, arrested and charged with several offences. He is expected in bail court early this morning.
21-year-old victim was transported to Grand River hospital, was treated and has since been released.
Charges are pending.
