A meat cleaver was used as a weapon in a Guelph home invasion, police say.
A woman was home alone Wednesday evening when three men entered her home on Victoria Road North.
The men began to search the home, with one of them brandishing the meat cleaver. They left with several items.
The suspects are all described as non-white and in their late 20s or early 30s. They range in height from 5’11” to 6’4”. One was wearing dark clothes and a baseball cap over short black hair, another was heavyset with scruffy facial hair, and the third was 230 pounds and seen wearing dark clothing and gloves.
Police don’t know how the men got away from the house or in what direction they fled.
The woman was not injured in the incident. Guelph police are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
