Waterloo Regional police say they are investigating an early morning assault and robbery.
The incident happened around 3:30 a.m.
Police say three men wearing dark clothes with bandanas covering their faces forced their way into a home on Erb Street in Waterloo.
Once inside the three, according to police, assaulted the home owners and stole numerous personal items.
Police believe this was a targeted attack.
