One person has been arrested in connection with a home invasion in Brantford, and police say the other two people behind the crime may be bragging about it online.

According to Brantford Police, the home invasion occurred Saturday evening at a residence on Buchanan Crescent in the city’s north end, and was prompted by an argument over Facebook Messenger.

The argument allegedly resulted in a woman showing up at the home, being told she was not allowed inside, and then forcing her way in – with two men in tow.

Police say the men attacked a man inside the home, punching and kicking him to the point where he had to be taken to hospital for medical treatment.

A 27-year-old Brantford woman was quickly arrested. She faces charges of assault and breaking and entering.

Police say they have yet to track down the two men involved in the home invasion, but believe they may have been talking about their roles on unspecified social media platforms.
