The investigation into the disappearance of Laura Babcock has brought police back to the North Dumfries farm belonging to Dellen Millard.

A forensic van belonging to the Toronto Police Service arrived at the Roseville Road farm around 8 a.m. Monday.

Waterloo Regional Police officers also attended the scene, including drug unit officers who entered the barn in fully dressed protective gear and respirators and removed several containers of material.

Police tell CTV News that new information prompted officers to execute a search warrant at the farm in connection with the Babcock case.

Babcock, 23, was last seen in Toronto’s Roncevalles neighbourhood in July 2012.

Police say she had a romantic relationship with Millard.

The farm was previously the subject of police activity in late May and early June in connection with the death of Tim Bosma.

Bosma, an Ancaster resident, was killed after leaving his home with two men who had asked to test-drive a truck he was selling.

Millard, 27, and 25-year-old Mark Smich are charged with first-degree murder in connection with that case, and police say Bosma’s remains were found on the same farm property police searched Monday.

Toronto police also spent time in June at the farm investigating the disappearance of Babcock.

Officers left the farm around 6 p.m. Monday, but are expected to return Tuesday.
