A collision between an SUV and a police cruiser led to minor injuries on Wednesday afternoon.
The officer was responding to an emergency call when he approached the intersection of River Road and Frederick Street with lights and sirens on.
When he entered the intersection he struck an SUV driven by a 76-year-old Kitchener woman.
“The investigation is continuing, at this point we’re expecting charges will be laid against the officer that was involved in the crash.” said Acting Sergeant Gary Russell with WRPS.
