More than 50 police officers took part in a search for a missing Kitchener man on Thursday.

Jed Ouillette, 54, was reported missing from his home on South Drive last September.

Waterloo Regional Police say they had no specific information leading them to conduct a ground search, but saw it as an opportunity to provide public training safety for dozens of officers.

Thursday’s search saw officers methodically work their way through Lakeside Park, Mauser Park and other nearby areas – all of which were also searched last fall.

Ouillette is described as a 5’10” and very thin white man, with sandy brown hair.

Police he frequently wears baseball caps and likes to walk his dogs around Lakeside Park, although his dogs were accounted for after his disappearance.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the authorities.
