A man is facing numerous charges after police received a call regarding a gun being pointed at a rural property in the region last evening.
Waterloo Regional police were called Thursday reporting a person was being threatened by a man with a handgun. Patrol officers and the Emergency Response Unit responded to the property in Woolwich Township.
A 53-year-old man was arrested without incident. A pellet handgun was taken at the scene, and long guns were later seized from the man’s home.
The suspect remains in custody, held for a bail hearing, where he will be facing a number of weapons charges.
