Provincial police say a pedestrian died after a collision on highway six in Flamborough.

The collision happened Saturday night around 10:26 p.m. near Carlisle road.

Rudy Sanchez works at the gas station near the intersection.

He says moment before the young man was struck he walked into the store and bought some drinks.

"It's pretty weird to be honest because like knowing that I was the last person to talk to him right before he died. And he's a young guy too so. That could have been anybody. Even me right?" says Sanchez

OPP closed the northbound lanes of highway six for hours. The driver of the pickup truck involved in the collision remained at the scene.

This is the same intersection where a two-car collision killed an 87-year-old Guelph woman two and half weeks ago.

Sanchez  says the entire ordeal is very disturbing and other who live nearby say it happens way too often.

"It was very weird because like even when the officer said like the persons deceased. I felt like very weird about it like almost heartbroken you know?" says Sanchez.

Last night’s crash is still under investigation. Police have not released the identity of the man who died and there’s no word yet on charges.

Anyone who witnessed Saturday night’s collision is being asked to call the OPP detachment in Burlington.
