The intersection that was Guelph’s most collision-prone in 2014 will be partially dug up for underground construction for most of September.

Starting Sept. 8, a new sewer main will be installed under the corner of Woodlawn Road and Woolwich Street.

For the first two days of construction, eastbound traffic will be unable to use Woodlawn past Woolwich.

As of Sept. 10, northbound traffic on Woolwich will be forced to stop at the plaza at 777 Woodlawn Road, without being able to enter the intersection.

All left turns will also be banned at the intersection.

By Sept. 18, all restrictions are expected to be lifted except for the eastbound closure of Woodlawn.

The intersection is scheduled to return to normal by Sept. 25.
