Voters in Oxford County have handed Dave MacKenzie another term as their MP.

Oxford was one of the first southern Ontario ridings of the night to be declared – and as results continued to come in, it was easy to see why.

With 91.1% of polls reporting., MacKenzie had 22,690 votes – good for a large lead over Liberal challenger Don McKay and his 15,972.

NDP candidate Zoe Kunschner was running in third place, with 8,359 votes.

Rounding out the field in Oxford were Green Party candidate Mike Farlow and Melody Ann Aldred of the Christian Heritage Party.

MacKenzie has been the MP of Oxford since 2004, when Liberal incumbent John Baird Finlay opted not to seek a fourth term.
