OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Owen Sound police say a man alleged to have been spotted in a drive-thru with an open beer blew twice the legal blood-alcohol limit.

Police say a restaurant employee became concerned when the 24-year-old man drove up Saturday night and noticed he had an open bottle of beer between his legs.

The employee alerted his manager, and police say they arrived as the driver was about to get back on the road.

Police say the man's vehicle was towed and will be impounded for 7 days. His licence is automatically suspended for seven days as well.

The Owen Sound man will appear in provincial court next week.
