The Ontario Provincial Police Sergeant who was recently charged following what police described as a case of road rage in Cambridge, has now been suspended.

The OPP launched an internal investigation into that matter that took place on March 13, at a plaza on Dundas Street near Franklin Boulevard.

OPP Sgt. Dave Rektor told CTV that Sgt. Rui Pacheco was suspended.

Pacheco had spent 19 years with the OPP, currently based in Wellington County.

He faces multiple charges of assault and uttering threats.

Two people claimed to be assaulted and threatened by Pacheco on Sunday, when he was not on duty.
