Enrolment in Ontario colleges increased by 2.4 per cent this year to a record 237,000 full-time students.
Colleges Ontario says that's up from less than 232,000 last year.
It says final enrolment figures for this year also show increasing numbers of students are combining university and college education -- with the number of university graduates enrolled in colleges increasing 50 per cent over the past five years.
Colleges Ontario CEO Linda Franklin says growing numbers of students are choosing college because of the demand by employers for people with career-specific qualifications.
