A crash north of Wallaceburg has claimed the life of one person.
Chatham-Kent OPP say a GMC Jimmy was southbound on Highway 401 when it left the roadway and rolled into the ditch just before 3 a.m.
One of the people in the vehicle was thrown during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person was transported to hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Highway 40 was closed between Langstaff Line and Dufferin Avenue for the investigation.
