Middlesex County OPP continue the investigation into a fatal crash Monday afternoon.
Police say a car travelling westbound on Glendon Drive, north of Glencoe, collided head-on with an SUV travelling in the opposite direction. The two vehicles crashed in the eastbound lane.
The driver and lone occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released the name of the 52-year-old female.
The female driver of the SUV was sent to hospital by ambulance. A male passenger in the SUV was airlifted to hospital by Ornge. Although initially it was believed that they had sustained life-threatening injuries, officials say they are both expected to survive.
Glendon Drive was closed for several hours between Thames Road and McArthur Drive for the investigation.
