Police in Norfolk County are investigating two separate incidents in which homes were broken into and unwanted gifts left inside.

One case occurred early last Thursday.

In that incident, OPP say, multiple people entered an under-renovation home on West Quarter Line Road near Walsingham.

Once inside, the intruders allegedly damaged all the windows in the building, scribbled obscenities on the walls and poured motor oil on the floors.

Police aren’t sure exactly when the other incident occurred, other than that it was sometime between Oct. 10 and Oct. 18 at a home on Townline Street, near St. Williams.

According to OPP, one or more people forced their way into the home and defecated inside.

Nothing is believed to have been taken from the home.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
