Two Guelph women face criminal charges after allegedly conducting some mother-daughter shoplifting.

Guelph Police say they were called to Stone Road Mall just after 4 p.m. Monday, in response to a shoplifting complaint.

An 18-year-old woman was arrested on mall property.

“A short time later, her mother turned herself in,” Const. Gord Woods told CTV News.

Thi Tran, 39, and teenager Tracy Tran face charges of theft and possession of stolen property.

Police say they had stolen approximately $1,000 worth of clothing and shoes from at least five different stores in the mall.
