In August, CTV Kitchener weather specialist Lyndsay Morrison and KOOL FM host Angie Hill travelled to Peru as part of World Vision Canada's Campaign for Children.

They discovered a country rich in culture, but they also saw parts of Peru that often escape tourists.

That includes the town of El Milagro, where children live and play in a dumpsite -- when they're not working in shocking conditions for the equivalent of only a few dollars per day.

World Vision Canada's Campaign for Children runs from Oct. 1 to Nov. 30. The organization hopes to get 1,000 southwestern Ontario residents to sponsor children.
