Southwestern Ontario is seeing another day of extremely cold temperatures and snow squalls blowing in off Lake Huron.
Environment Canada issued a snow squall warning at 9:35 am for northern Perth & Huron Counties and southern Bruce County.
Earlier Wednesday morning a band of squalls moved in from Goderich and followed Highway 8 toward Stratford almost perfectly. By 9:30 the squalls had moved north, coming off Lake Huron near Kincardine.
Strong northwest winds over Lake Huron and Georgian bay are generating local snow squalls. Low to zero visibility has been reported in areas today.
Snowfall rates of 1 to 3 cm per hour, with total accumulations of up to 10 additional centimetres, are possible.
Highway 21 is closed from Goderich to Amberley due to nil visibility.
All Buses were cancelled to Port Elgin, Southhampton, Kincardine, Teeswater, Lucknow and Ripley. Buses into Owen Sound from the west were cancelled. All rural buses in the Goderich & Clinton areas were also cancelled.
