Police in Woodstock say they’re not getting full co-operation from the owner of a dog that attacked another dog at a city park.

The attack happened April 13, and resulted in one dog receiving injuries to its throat and face that required treatment from a veterinarian.

Police say the other dog was a black mouth cur – a type of dog bred for hunting – named Angel, which they have investigated in the past for other attacks on dogs.

They say Angel and its owner live near Brompton Park.

“We ask the public to use caution and be aware of this information,” police said in a media release.

Action against Angel’s owner is being pursued through the court system.
