A second jury trial is expected to begin later this year in the case of Rick and Susan Hayhow.

Accused of using funds from their non-profit adoption agency for personal purposes, the former couple are charged with fraud offences.

They faced a jury trial in June, but that trial ended in an abrupt mistrial.

Jurors were dismissed following the discovery of new information.

In court Friday, Crown prosecutor David Foulds confirmed his wish to move ahead with another trial.

Rick Hayhow was Imagine Adoption’s general manager, while Susan Hayhow was its executive director.

The firm went bankrupt in 2009.
