The location of the new multiplex sports facility in Cambridge may not be a done deal after all.
Mayor Doug Craig stirred controversy last night, putting forward a motion to postpone a decision on the Conestoga College land lease until September. He suggested directing staff to undertake a community consultation process.
Many residents object to the Conestoga College location near the 401, saying it is too close to Kitchener. They do not believe that location would properly serve Cambridge.
Councilor Frank Monteiro says, as of now, the location is "set in stone"
