Charges are pending against a cyclist following a collision in central Cambridge.

Waterloo Regional Police say the collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, as the cyclist was riding on the sidewalk along Elgin Street.

At the same time, a pickup truck was making a left turn off of Elgin onto Woodborough Place.

According to police, the cyclist tried to get through the intersection before the truck, but ended up crashing into the side of it.

The cyclist was treated for minor injuries, and the intersection was closed for about three hours as police investigated.
