Five people are facing charges in connection with a robbery at a home in Waterloo’s university district.

Waterloo Regional Police say four men broke into a home on Hazel Street around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

There were several people inside the home at the time, one of whom was allegedly assaulted and injured by the intruders.

Police say the group stole a number of items and left the area, but were later tracked down at the service station along Highway 401 outside Cambridge.
