About $4,000 in cash and illegal drugs worth nearly the same amount were seized as the result of a drug investigation in Woodstock, police in that city say.

According to police, the seizures were made Wednesday by Woodstock Police officers investigating crystal meth trafficking in the city.

In addition to crystal meth, cocaine was seized. Police estimate the total street value of the drugs as being $3,800.

Two Woodstock men – aged 34 and 32 – and a 26-year-old man from Hamilton face charges of possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

The two Woodstock residents also face charges of possession of property obtained by crime, while the 34-year-old has to deal with a further charge of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
